About Talacauvery
Talacauvery is the spring where the Cauvery rises, marked by a temple tank and shrines at 1,340 m on the Brahmagiri slopes, 48 km from Madikeri via Bhagamandala (where the Triveni Sangama confluence is worth a stop). Climb the ~400 steps behind the tank to the Brahmagiri peak for a horizon of ridgelines — often above a sea of cloud at dawn.
