About Abbey Falls

Abbey Falls drops around 70 feet through a private coffee and spice estate 8 km from Madikeri. A short paved path through the estate leads to a hanging-bridge viewpoint opposite the falls. The flow is thunderous in and just after the monsoon (July–October) and gentler in summer. Swimming is prohibited — the rocks are dangerously slippery.
